Self-Catering accommodation Apartments
The
' 4 under one roof' apartments are at the edge of Porjus. This will give
you a perfect view of the night sky. Away from any light pollution you will
have the front row seat to the Northern Lights spectacle!
Despite these are under one roof you will have your own frontdoor if you book a private apartment.
There
are 3 kinds of apartments, a 1 private bedroom, a private 2 bedroom and an apartment where you share toilet, shower and kitchen with other guests.
All are sufficiently electrically heated and equipped with a lits-jumeaux
or 2 separated beds and a tv set. The light colours give the interior a
soft and cosy atmosphere. Throughout the cottage, there are pictures of
the Lapland nature from Patricia Cowern.
There
is a toilet and shower in every cottage and has a fully equipped kitchen
with electric cooking plates, pots, pans and a microwave oven. This complies
to the Swedish Stuga self-catering standard. This means that you
will have to do your shopping and cooking yourself. There is a
supermarket in the village.
Free Wireless Internet access is available in every cottage. If desired, we can provide a free alert service by cellular phone whenever Northern Lights are visible.
And
then there it is: Northern Lights!
Use low lighting inside and switch off your exterior light when going outside. Total darkness is vital for a good view of the Northern Lights.
In the haste, do not forget to dress warm, you will enjoy your stay longer. For photographing: Use a tripod and long exposures. Keep all equipment stand-by in one place and all batteries charged. Do not forget to watch also!
It
can also be a cloudy day.
If so, so out dogsledding or do some other daytime activity while you are here.
Every
apartment has it's own front door if you book a private 1 room apartment.
If you want more room you can book the whole 2 or 3 room apartment for a
higher price.
